Summer Schools Scheme Approval for Profile Systems
KBE & Sapa achieved the much coveted Department of Education & Skills approval
Date: 21 July 2010 Ireland’s leading distributor of window and door systems, Profile Systems, is celebrating after two of its flagship brands; KBE & Sapa achieved the much coveted Department of Education & Skills approval to supply PVC-u & Aluminium windows and doors for the Summer Schools Works/Modernisation Programme. Both the Sapa 75mm window and KBE Mark V 507 Lead-free PVC-u window, making it the first PVC window to do so in the Irish market, conforms with the stringent requirements of the Department of Education and Skills Technical Guidance Document, TGD 021-1 Guidance on the Specification of Windows 1st Edition, April 2010”.
The KBE Mark V window has recently achieved NSAI’s ‘A’ rating certification and is 100% lead-free which we believe heavily influenced the Department’s decision to exclusively award approval to this PVC-u window system.
Commenting on achieving approval, Paul McCarthy, Sales Director for Profile Systems said: “This is a great achievement for the company. Not only is it an achievement to receive approval from the Department on one of your products but to achieve approval on both our PVC-u & Aluminium windows is a huge and unprecedented achievement for any supplier of windows and doors in Ireland. We have already seen the benefits with customers securing a fair share of the schools contracts that are available for summer 2010. This is another sign of Profile System’s green credentials and signals of our intent to be Ireland’s leading supplier of sustainable window and door solutions.”
